The visa allows the holder to remain in the Schengen area for up to 90 days (in any 180-day period) for the purposes of tourism, business, visiting family, medical treatment, studies, training placements or volunteer activities that last under three months, or for other non-gainful activities.
The Schengen visa is only issued to third-country nationals listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2018/1806.
Holding a BRP or being an EU relative does not exempt the holder from the visa requirement.

- Modification or cancelation of any travel reservation after the Visa is granted may lead to refusal in future Visa applications.

- The owner of a refugee travel document issued under the Geneva Convention of Refugee Regulations of the 28th July 1951 or the New York Refugee Regulation Protocol of the 31st of January 1967, are required to obtain a visa unless they have a resident permit issued by one of the member states. “

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at Consulate General of Spain in Edinburgh.
visa application process can take up to 15 days, but may take up to 45 days in particular cases. Consequently, the applicants are requested to apply well in advance to the intended date of journey.
Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same.
